Nate Coffman, Executive Director

Nate Coffman, Executive Director for the Ohio CDC Association (OCDCA), joined the organization in December 2009 after directing the revitalization efforts of Cleveland's historic Ohio City neighborhood with the Ohio City Near West Development Corporation (OCNW).

A native of southeastern Ohio, Mr. Coffman lead OCNW after serving eight years as executive director of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cleveland (HBA) and previously as its government and community affairs manager. At the HBA, Nate helped bring the organization and the membership to invest and develop in many underserved urban neighborhoods working in partnership with local CDC's.

He also worked several years in Columbus for U.S. Senator John Glenn and as an aide at the Ohio Senate. He has been recognized as a "Forty Under 40" by Crain's Cleveland Business and is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Rhonda Foreman, Fiscal Manager

Rhonda Foreman, Fiscal Manager, has primary responsibility for all financial matters of OCDCA, including preparations for the annual audit and financial statements. Mrs. Foreman joined OCDCA in December 2008. She has over 20 years experience in accounting, and has spent the last five years as a real estate professional in Columbus. Mr. Foreman has over 7 years experience as accountant for several Columbus based not-for-profit organizations. She has a Bachelors in Accounting from Hofstra University in New York, and graduated in 1987.

Dave Foust, Membership Manager

David Foust, Membership Manager, joined the OCDCA in September 2011. His primary responsibilities are assisting in coordination of membership and membership activities. Additional responsibilities include support with training and technical assistance activities. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he holds a bachelor of science degree in City and Regional Planning with a focus in International Development. He is currently pursuing a master of science degree in City and Regional Planning with a dual focus in Urban Economics and GIS at The Ohio State University.

Suzanne Parks, Director of Asset Development

Suzanne Parks, Director of Asset Development, directs the Assets Ohio and JOLI projects. She joined the OCDCA on August 2008 and is responsible for the administration of the Assets Ohio venture. Assets Ohio encompasses the coordination of four (4) Assets for Independence demonstration grants for at least 30 Individual Development Account sites in the Ohio region. The Assets Ohio project also provides related services for foreclosure prevention. Ms. Parks' additional responsibilities include the provision of training and technical assistance, resource development, as well as research and the development of policy.

Prior to joining the OCDCA team, Ms Parks was an independent consultant working with community development and other government funded agencies assisting with special projects designed to enhance organizational and program capacity. She is a former employee of two Head Start projects in the central Ohio area. In Head Start, she worked with the Family and Community Partnerships and Program Design and Governance components.

Ms. Parks was conferred a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ohio Dominican University and a Masters in Leadership Education from the Mid-America Christian University. She is currently pursuing a specialization in her Masters studies and will complete a Masters in Leadership in Public Administration in the spring of 2009.

Amy J. Rosenthal, Associate Director

Amy J. Rosenthal, Associate Director, has primary responsibility for the delivery of affordable housing, microenterprise and community economic development training and technical assistance. Mrs. Rosenthal joined OCDCA in April 2008. She brings a strong background in community development and housing consulting experience with work experience in the private consulting firms.

Prior to joining OCDCA, she conducted market and feasibility studies, resulting in development of multi-family, retail, industrial, office, and mixed-use projects. Mrs. Rosenthal has a certification in HOME Program Specialist-Regulations and is currently pursuing Housing Development Finance Professional Certification from the National Development Council.

Mrs. Rosenthal received a dual masters degree in City and Regional Planning and Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University in June 2009 and is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Urban Planning.

Elvira Terán, Vista Leader

Elvira Terán, VISTA Leader, will be serving with the organization to assist with the overall supervision and planning of the OCDCA VISTA Program. Ms. TerĂ¡n is the first point of contact with for any VISTA Member issues and is responsible for all data collection.

Prior to joining OCDCA, she served a year as a VISTA member at Homeport (formerly Columbus Housing Partnership). There she worked with the Rental Development department on Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and HDAP applications, as well as conducted research and analysis on future and current housing communities.>/p>

Ms. Terán holds a bachelor's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Cincinnati.
