Help End Lead Poisoning's Mission

Help End Lead Poisoning is a statewide non-profit organization committed to eliminating the lead poisoning of Ohio’s children through education, information sharing, public policy development, and mobilizing citizens through:
Educating
parents, property owners, housing contractors, public officials, the medical
community, and the public about lead hazards;
Being
a watchdog organization, to monitor and hold accountable state and local
agencies and programs, which are responsible for regulating and cleaning up lead
and other environmental poisons;
Encouraging
the establishment of information and support networks so that families of
affected children might be empowered;
Serving
as a clearing house for information and groups dealing with lead and other
environmental poisons, which harm the health of children and adults in Ohio;
Promoting
the elimination of lead poisoning by developing dedicated revenue stream to
enable property owners and developers to properly clean up and dispose of lead.
