Enterprise Foundation 2005 Network Conference

The Enterprise Foundation’s 2005 Network Conference.
More than 1,200 professionals from community development organizations
nationwide, as well representatives of corporations, foundations and government
involved in neighborhood revitalization, will all gather in Washington, D.C.
from Nov. 9-11, 2005.
“Changing Communities in a Changing Landscape” is this year’s theme.
Denis Hayes, President of The Bullitt Foundation and organizer of the first
Earth Day; Elsie Meeks, Executive Director of First Nations Oweesta Corporation,
the first Native American community development financial institution; and Jim
Wallis, author of God’s Politics: Why the Right Gets It Wrong and the
Left Doesn’t Get It, will share their perspectives on the challenges facing
the community development industry.
With 45 workshops to choose from, community developers at any point in their
career can develop a curriculum to meet their learning needs. And when the
learning is done for the day, there are exciting evening activities planned in
the nation’s capital.
