2023 Spring Micro Summit

The 2023 Spring Micro Summit will be held on June 29, 2023 at Co-op Dayton's Gem City Market. The Summit is free, and lunch will be provided. This is a great event for microbusiness entrepreneurs and the community organizations that support them.

Session 1: Affordable & Effective Tools to Maximize Your Marketing Efforts

This session provides a general overview of the affordable tools and resources available to maximize your marketing efforts. Lisa Tumbleson-Davis and Adam Days, the instructors, will share their years of experience in utilizing user-friendly tools that boost organizations’ marketing impact.

Session 2: Tips for Preparing a Funding Request for Your Small Business Start-Up or Expansion

This session provides a general overview of how to effectively structure a business plan and supporting documents to increase your chances of approval of a commercial small business loan. Lisa Pfeifer, the instructor, will share her years of experience in assisting entrepreneurs by providing the information that lenders need to know about your business.

Session 3: Food Cooperatives and How They Work

During this session representatives from 3 local food cooperatives, including Gem City Market, will discuss the development of their cooperative enterprise and how organizing throughout the lifetime of the enterprise can build a strong base of leaders, supporters, and future customers. Cherrelle Gardner will facilitate this session.
