Assets for Independence (AFIA)/IDA Workshops
Money Smart Financial Education Train-the-Trainer
Financial education fosters financial stability for individuals and
for entire communities. The more people know about credit and banking
services, the more likely they are to increase savings, buy homes, and
improve their financial health and well being.
The Money Smart curriculum, developed by the Federal Deposit and
Insurance Corporation (FDIC), helps individuals build financial
knowledge, develop financial confidence, and use banking services
effectively. Money Smart Train-the-Trainer workshops are designed to
facilitate teaching financial education in a way that is responsive to
the varied needs of Money Smart class participants and the goals of the
sponsor organization.
