The 2025 Home Repair and Ownership IDA Program Application Period is Closed

Program Information

Funded through the Ohio Housing Trust Fund, the home repair and ownership (HRO) individual development account (IDA) program supports low- and moderate-income individuals in purchasing or maintaining/repairing a home. 

Eligible individuals with earned income at or below 80% of the area median income deposit a portion of their earnings into an IDA savings account. While saving, participants participate in financial education to help them maintain their savings behavior even after the program is complete. When they reach their goal, the savings is matched and can be used toward a down payment or a qualified home repair. Once the savings goal of $250 is met and education is complete, a match of $2,000 is granted.​

Ohio CDC Association member organizations administer this program within their own service areas and may include additional requirements for program participants. A current list of subsites is below.
