Building Ohio's Communities |
The Ohio Community Development Corporation Association (OCDCA) is a statewide membership organization of over 250 locally-based rural and urban nonprofits that work to rebuild neighborhoods through initiatives such as economic development, affordable housing, financial education, and local food access.
Throughout our history, the Ohio CDC Association has been listening to members and responding with resources to help build capacity, advocate, and develop public policy toward a mission of fostering socially and economically healthy communities. We will continue to collaborate with diverse partners at the national, regional, state and local levels to bring an even higher level of service to our members, so they can fulfill their vision of improving life opportunities for every resident. |

PLACE Framework: Harnessing AI for Sustainable and Equitable Development April 9, 10am-11:30amUrban environments today face outdated infrastructure, unequal resource distribution, and unsustainable practices, limiting community growth and well-being. This presentation introduces the PLACE framework—People-Centered Design, Localized Intelligence, Accessibility and Equity, Connected Systems, and Environmental Sustainability—as a transformative solution powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Drawing from nearly two decades of experience, our presenter will demonstrate how AI-driven insights and affordable technology can enhance placemaking efforts, ensuring sustainable and equitable urban development. Attendees will learn how to implement AI-integrated PLACE initiatives in their own communities, understand the financial and logistical considerations, and commit to collaborative efforts that drive meaningful change. By the end of this session, delegates will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to leverage AI within the PLACE framework, fostering smarter and more inclusive cities.
